Conservatives react to Fox News’ Hannity endorsement

Fox News host Sean Hannity endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Monday, the conservative-leaning outlet reported.

Hannity’s endorsement comes after Cruz and the GOP’s presidential candidates have sparred on foreign policy issues.

Fox News has said that it will not air Cruz’s comments about Islam.

Hannity was interviewed by conservative radio host Michael Savage in December and in a January interview Hannity said he would “defend him against any attack.”

Hannity also said that he supported Trump in the presidential election, saying, “I have no doubt that if I had known that Ted Cruz would be the nominee, I would have voted for him.”

Trump on Sunday retweeted a video of Hannity praising Cruz and calling him a “tremendous, great person.”

Hannity did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Hannity has previously said that Cruz would help the country defeat ISIS.
