Ford, Lincoln to offer $200,000 incentive for buyers of 2016 Lincoln Navigator and Ford F-150 pickup in 2017
Ford is making its biggest foray into Lincoln’s market yet by offering a $200 million incentive package for buyers buying new 2017 Lincoln Navigators.
Ford’s offer includes the option to buy an F-Series truck from 2017 through 2021.
The incentives will be applied in a similar manner to incentives offered by Ford and GM, but the F-series truck will be more competitive with the F150 pickup.
Ford’s Lincoln Navigon will be the first Ford truck to receive the $200M incentive package, which is based on its F-100 pickup.
The Lincoln Navigons sales in 2021 totaled 3,921,000.
The Ford F150 has been the best-selling truck in Lincoln’s U.S. lineup.
It has a top speed of 55 mph, a four-door sedan configuration, and a four wheel drive option.
The Lincoln Navigate has a base price of $30,865.
Ford will offer an additional $100,000 for the 2017 model year.
The offer is subject to change.
Ford said the $100 million incentive will help build on the company’s $70 million Lincoln Navagor investment that began in 2016.
“We know the 2017 Lincoln Navigation is a high-performance, safe, reliable truck and we are committed to making sure its legacy lives on,” Ford chief executive Mark Fields said in a statement.
Ford also said it will continue to offer Lincoln Navigans at its own dealerships and through Ford dealerships in other states.
The company’s Lincoln F-350 truck will also be offered through its Lincoln dealer network.
