Redskins have signed LB Josh Bynes to one-year contract
The Washington Redskins have added one of the NFL’s most talented linebackers to their roster, agreeing to terms on a one-yr.
contract with the linebacker, the team announced Wednesday.
Bynes, a fifth-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, will make the team’s active roster for the first time, joining safety Mike Williams and safety Jamari Lattimore.
Williams, a sixth-round selection in 2016, will be a free agent after the season.
Brees, a fourth-round rookie in 2016 who has started just seven games in four years, will not make the roster after the 2017 season.
Williams and Lattique are on the practice squad.
A fifth-year pro, Bynes was a third-round draft pick in 2016.
He started five games for the Redskins last season and was named to the Pro Bowl after recording six tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack.
He had three tackles, including a sack, in the 49-16 win over the Buffalo Bills in the NFC Championship Game.
Bees made his NFL debut as a third team player in Week 5 against the New York Jets.
He appeared in all 16 games and recorded three tackles.
