How to keep your new car safe and secure after a car crash: Navigator car
Navigator, a new car-monitoring company, has partnered with car manufacturer Nissan to create a new app that uses a small device to collect information about your car.
Navigator’s app is a small handheld device that plugs into your car’s dashboard, but is designed to collect data about how the car is driving and its surroundings.
When you are driving and the car starts, the device collects information from the car’s navigation system, the onboard camera, the camera sensors on the steering wheel and pedals, and your voice commands.
This information is sent to Nissan’s corporate security and privacy team in Tokyo, where the information is stored.
The company said in a blog post that it is also using this data to improve its mobile app and its mobile device apps, so that consumers can make better and safer decisions about their cars.
