Which American Cities Have the Best Navigation Credit Union?
— A new study from MTV News shows that the nation’s capital has the highest number of credit unions with more than 100 members in the U.S. and more than 500 branches, according to data analyzed by the National Association of Credit Unions.
The study also shows that New York City, with a population of 8.7 million people, has the most credit unions.
The study, released Tuesday, is based on information gathered from credit unions in the states of Massachusetts, New York, California, Ohio and Illinois.
It does not count credit unions that are private.
The study includes data from more than 200,000 members and more recently added data from about 500,000 credit union members, making the total membership at about 400,000.
The data is a compendium of information that members have submitted through various forms of online forms and in person interviews.
MTV News used the study as the basis for its coverage of the top 50 cities with the best credit unions, which were ranked on factors such as branch density, branch size and average interest rates.
Each credit union has been identified based on the number of members and branch size.
To see how a credit union compares with the nation as a whole, check out the chart below.
According to the study, the nation has more than 1,000 branch networks with more then 400,500 branches.
That means there are about 500 credit unions across the country.
The report includes data on branch density.
The higher the density, the more credit unions exist in each location.
The larger the network, the greater the number.
The denser the network is, the less likely it is to have a credit card network.
The chart below shows the locations of the largest and smallest credit unions by the branch network density.
